3 Bathroom Renovation Trends for 2023
While timeless styles are always good choices for bathrooms, it can also be fun to experiment and let your creative side shine. But, sometimes it can be difficult to generate ideas completely from scratch—it’s much easier to pull bits of inspiration and ideas from a variety of sources and mesh them to create a fresh, stunning look. With that in mind, we at Red Ladder Remodeling have put together a short list of bathroom renovation trends we expect to see in 2023.
1. Bold Design Choices
Make a statement with bold color palettes, custom fixtures or wall coverings, stone elements, and so forth. Think neutral tones with a pop of burnt sienna or viva magenta (Pantone’s 2023 color of the year—definitely on trend), textured feature walls, and custom-made vanities or sinks. Vivid cabinets are a great way to add color and interest to your bathroom without overcommitting to something like a magenta bathtub.
2. Pedestal Sinks
Pedestal sinks are having a moment—they create visual interest simply by being unexpected after a long era of vanities. An art deco pedestal sink can lend an air of opulence and glamor, while a minimalist option can set a sleeker tone for the space. And remember, a pedestal sink doesn’t have to be the boring, columnar fixture of the past—you might opt for one with four stainless steel legs or a floating sink with exposed (but tasteful, of course—think gold or brass) plumbing underneath.
3. Spa Bathrooms
In all honesty, spa bathrooms are perennially in style. However, we predict that 2023 will see the rise of a new kind of spa bathroom—one where you’ll feel as if you’ve been transported to a luxury resort (sans massage therapist, unfortunately). We expect to see sumptuous stone and wood elements, luxurious soaking tubs as focal points of the room, and decorative gold or brass accents.
